Insight’s Application Process
To flourish in school, a student must WANT to be there. Insight’s admissions process is designed to help students discern what they want out of high school and how Insight fits into their plan.
Insight Colearning’s application for the 2025-26 school year is now open. We offer frequent information sessions for interested applicants, as well as phone consultations and in-person or virtual visits. Once you apply, our Executive Director will email you to schedule an interview, and you will receive instructions on how to access our financial aid application. Click here to sign-up for a tour or info session, or use the link below to access our application on the TADS site.
Building a diverse learning community is a priority at Insight. Insight Colearning Center admits students of any race, color, nationality, ethnic origin, gender, and sexual orientation to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, nationality, ethnic origin, gender or sexual orientation in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship and loan programs, and athletic and other school-administered programs.
Tuition
In order to create an economically diverse and inclusive community at Insight, tuition is determined on a sliding scale based on family financial need. For the 2025-26 school year, annual tuition ranges from $1,000 to $25,000. All families seeking a tuition reduction will be asked to complete a financial aid application.
We are committed to finding a way for every student who is passionate about Insight to attend regardless of their financial situation. We encourage you to get in touch if you have any questions about cost. Insight accepts the NC Opportunity Scholarship and the NC ESA+ Program.
Application Deadline
Our priority deadline for 2025-26 is March 1, 2025. Apply by March 3 to receive priority consideration for next year and to be eligible for financial aid. Admissions decisions for priority applicants will be released by April 5. After March 3, we accept applications on rolling basis and will consider them in the order received.
All families seeking financial aid must also apply for the NC Opportunity Scholarship or the ESA+ Program prior to the March 3 deadline. Applications for financial aid received after March 3 are considered on a first come first served basis.
Requirements
Prospective students are invited to complete the Admission Application, which is administered on our behalf through the TADS website. There is a $60 application fee. If you’d like to request a fee waiver, please contact the Director.
As part of the application, students are asked to respond to several short essay questions that help us get to know the applicant and what makes them unique.
In addition, students will be asked to provide their transcript to date and two teacher recommendations. Forms and instructions for these items are provided in the application system.
After applying, students and their caregivers will be invited for an interview with the Executive Director. This is your chance to get to know a bit more about the Insight experience and to discuss how you envision leveraging it to accomplish your goals. Applicants will also be provided with a link to the Financial Aid application.
